CoAction would not be what it is today without the contribution and support volunteers have given to the organisation since its foundation.
Making a difference:
The generosity and good nature of our volunteers is truly amazing. They give of their time freely for the benefit of others.
The range of activities volunteers engage in continues to grow and grow - swimming, computers, D.I.Y. gardening, catering, craft, literacy, administration, road bowling, driving, golf, fishing, football, Special Olympics, to name but a few.
Our special volunteering initiative: “Be my Buddy”- is to befriend one of the people using our service and enjoy some shared interests such as going for coffee, the cinema or a walk.
Our fun, activity packed Summer Camp and Saturday Clubs are also areas that benefit greatly from the input of volunteers.
Bring your own skills to CoAction:
Volunteers bring their own skills and qualifications to the organisation. You do not need to have experience of people with disabilities or autism to volunteer with CoAction.
Student Placements and Work Experience:
We welcome second and third level students from a number of disciplines for work placements and experience. If you would like to explore the possibility of a placement with us, please contact Reception on 027 50114 or email info@coaction.ie
Have I got the time?
You don’t need a lot of time to volunteer and make a difference. Give as much or as little as you can, and only what fits comfortably with your own lifestyle. If you have one or two hours available per week, per two weeks or per month- that is all that’s required to make a difference.
How can I become a Volunteer?
We can never have too many volunteers so if you would like to help with new or existing activities, we would be delighted to hear from you.
