CoAction Summer Camps

Summer camps are a fun filled fifteen days of activities based in the community in the month of July every year. These activities range from pottery and crafts to the adventures of horse-riding and treasure hunts in the woods. The days are jam packed with sporting events, which may include swimming or bowling and hockey to the very important picnic and cake baking for the sweet toothed little ones who attend the camps. There are plenty of opportunities for the development of social skills as each of the children is encouraged to pay for themselves and verbalise their requests on planned outings. Music and relaxation also play a big part for unwinding after a busy day of fun. These camps could not run without the dedication and enthusiasm of our very dedicated and hard working staff and volunteers.

A scrap book and keep sake box, with pictures and souvenirs is the parting gift from the camp with all the treasured memories to share with their family and friends.

CoAction would like to hear from adults and second and third level students over 16 years who are interested in volunteering in our fun, activity packed Summer Camps.  Camps are held in Bantry, Beara, Clonakilty, Dunmanway and Skibbereen 3-4 days a week for the month of July.

If you are interested and would like further information contact the volunteer coordinator in the Bantry centre 027- 54027/50114 or email
